New Study: Cows Demand Recognition for Producing Methane-Based Renewable Energy
In what can only be described as a groundbreaking moo-vement in the renewable energy sector, a recent study by the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) has unearthed a startling revelation: cows are demanding recognition for their contributions to methane-based energy.
A Cow of an Idea
Constance Thompson, Senior VP of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice at ACORE, states, “Cows have long been underappreciated and excluded in the energy discourse. It’s high time we acknowledge their gaseous gifts.” The study estimates that the collective methane output of cows could power a small city or, at the very least, a moderately-sized cheese factory.
Cows to Own Power Supply
The public response has been a mix of amusement and confusion. One farmer mused, “Next, they’ll be asking for royalties every time someone flips a light switch.”
As we grapple with this methane mystery, we must ponder: Are cows the unsung heroes of renewable energy, or just unwitting participants in a farcical farm fable? One thing is for certain – in the world of energy, it would be unjust not to include cows in our thanksgivings.
