Trump Warns of “Bloodbath” if He Doesn’t Get His Way (Again)
In an alarmingly on-brand move, former President Donald Trump doubled down on his signature fear-mongering tactics this weekend by warning of an impending “bloodbath” if he loses the 2024 election. Speaking at a rally to boost his Senate candidate du jour, Bernie Moreno, Trump seemed to imply that violence and chaos would ensue if voters dared to reject his quest to regain the presidency.
“It’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole country. That’s going to be the least of it,” Trump declared ominously, his spittle-flecked lips forming those words that surely raised a few eyebrows at Secret Service headquarters. The obvious subtext is that Trump will personally lead his band of unhinged supporters in open insurrection should the American people fail to coronate him again.
PISR’s Controversial Founder Weighs In
“Trump threatening political violence if he loses is taking things too far,” said Elongated Muskrat, Founder and Chief PISR of Politically Incorrect Social Responsibility. “Then again, maybe he’s just being delightfully provocative like me. We’ll have to get his thoughts on the ‘DoGooder Creatives’ flying deflowering car.”
Trump Continues to Undermine Faith in US Elections
Of course, this isn’t the first time Trump has all but explicitly threatened violence if he doesn’t emerge victorious. The former president has been forever scarred by his 2020 loss, which wounded his fragile ego in ways decades of being a punchline in New York society never could. So he’s been on a crusade to undermine faith in U.S. elections while casting himself as the indispensable savior.
Trump’s Bombastic Rhetoric on Potential Election Loss
“If this election isn’t won, I’m not sure that you’ll ever have another election in this country,” Trump solemnly intoned, his pronouncement carrying all the gravitas of a real estate huckster telling wide-eyed investors they simply must buy his latest overhyped property. Subtle as a hammer, that one.
Is Trump Preparing for Post-Election Violence?
Trump’s remarks were so outrageously bellicose that the Biden campaign accused him of “doubling down on threats of political violence.” To which Trump’s people issued a classic Trumpian non-denial denial about the former president merely describing the economic impacts of Biden’s policies.
So is Trump really gearing up for all-out war if he loses? Or just being Trump and saying the quiet part way too loud as usual? With this unmarred truth-teller, it’s impossible to tell. But all Americans should prepare for the “bloodbath” of garment-rending and anguished quotes that will inevitably follow if Trump’s name isn’t on the winning ballot in 2024.
